Universal Islands of Adventure- 28th October

On Monday we caught the water taxi to Universal's Islands of Adventure with early access to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter for hotel guests. We went through Hogwarts and had breakfast at the 3 Broomsticks the next day. I got a Ron Weasley wand from Olivanders.

We went on one fish two fish in Seuss Landing where you're in a fish hoisted into the air on an arm, while being squirted with water by various statues. You get to control the fish via a joystick in it.

We also went on the Dr Seuss carousel, the high in the sky Seuss trolley train ride, Pteranodon flyers in Jurassic  Park which was where you go on these hangliders which were dressed up to look like Pteranodons and you go on a track above the whole of Jurassic Park. I thought this ride was a bit freaky compared to some of the simulators we went on as you are in real air and not a virtual world. Popeye and Bluto's barges in Toon Lagoon was by far my favourite ride in Islands of Adventure. You go onto these circular rafts and are taken around Toon Lagoon through a river that is rapidly flowing like white-water rafting. We went on it 4 times and got very, very, very WET!!!!

"Hello there Aussies!!"

Storm Force Acceleration in Marvel Super Heroes Island was basically a copy of the Mad Hatter's Tea-Cups but the faster you spin the more power X-Men's Storm gets to defeat the evil Magneto. The Spiderman ride was cool but also a bit scary. You go into the Daily Bugle (a newspaper where Peter Parker works) and are taken into a 3D simulator, You go through New York helping Spiderman save the town against all of Spiderman's enemies. At one stage you drop but that was it. The shows we saw were The 8th Voyage of Sinbad which was an okay stunt show and Poseidon's Fury in which we all got wet by Poseidon.

As always; REPORT and have fun on your next holiday!!
